Benton County Public Health is excited to begin teaching SafeSitter babysitting courses here in Benton County beginning Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at the Vinton Public Library. The SafeSitter babysitting course curriculum has been around for decades, and allows students opportunities to interact with their peers as they learn everything from personal & internet safety, to first aid & choking rescue skills, to business skills and behavior management. Open Craft Night at the Vinton Public Library November 7
The November Programming Calendar for the Vinton Public Library includes an Open Craft Night for Adults on November 7 from 6-8:00 p.m. The library will remain open after hours for our patrons to bring in their own craft projects to work on, while enjoying refreshments at the library and the company of others in our community.Remember to AMVETS to hold fundraiser at Dollar Fresh
The local AMVETS will hold the last fundraiser for the season this weekend. They AMVETS will be at Dollar Fresh Friday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The group will be serving brats, hot dogs hamburger saurkraut, soda and chips for a free donation.Come on out and support the AMVETS

Corner Basket ClassDecember 2nd, 9am at Benton County Nature Center; $40Come weave with us at the Nature Center! We will be weaving corner baskets with a wooden, triangle base (8.5x8.5x12). Salem Witch Trials Presentation Thursday, October 19, 6:00 p.m.
Kelly Steffen a teacher at the Vinton Shellsburg High School will be making a presentation at the Vinton Public Library. On Thursday, October 19. beginning at 6:00 p.m. Join us for a special 'VPL After Hours' event, as Kelly Steffen shares her personal research on the Salem Witch Trials. You won't want to miss it! To celebrate National Friends of the Library Week, our library's newly formed Friends chapter will be serving refreshments at this event.
