Benton County Public Health offers SafeSitter Babysitting Classes 12/2/23

Benton County Public Health is excited to begin teaching SafeSitter babysitting courses here in Benton County beginning Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at the Vinton Public Library. The SafeSitter babysitting course curriculum has been around for decades, and allows students opportunities to interact with their peers as they learn everything from personal & internet safety, to first aid & choking rescue skills, to business skills and behavior management.

AMVETS to hold fundraiser at Dollar Fresh

The local AMVETS will hold the last fundraiser for the season this weekend. They AMVETS will be at Dollar Fresh Friday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The group will be serving brats, hot dogs hamburger saurkraut, soda and  chips for a free donation.Come on out and support the AMVETS

The November Programming Calendar for the Vinton Public Library includes a special session  to help patrons use "Libby." It is an Informational Session that will be held on November 2 at Noon and on November 21 at 5:00 p.m.  Libby is one of our options for ebooks and audiobooks, available to patrons that live in the City limits of Vinton, or in Rural Benton County.

Kelly Steffen a teacher at the Vinton Shellsburg High School will be making a presentation at the Vinton Public Library.
